Zager & Evans - 2525

Are you looking for something halfway between Simon & Garfunkel and Seals & Crofts? More rock oriented acoustic music, less neurosis? Well, i've got just the thing. It's Zager & Evans, 2525.

I don't like the phrase "one hit wonder," but 2525 is probably the only song you've heard by them. Wouldn't it be a hoot if Zager & Evans turned out to be the ones with an accurate doomsyear prediction? 505.083 years to go, fingers crossed.

I don't want to spoil it for you, but this is an album about how people suck and the world would be better if we actually loved each other. They attack that theme from pretty much every angle. It's subtle, but the message is that sex and emotions and nature are good, ideologies are bad, m'kay?
