No Sleep - Every Drop Counts
Sadly we come to the end of my compilation albums with Every Drop Counts, the sampler No Sleep Records gave me when i bought The Wonder Years's own Sleeping on Trash comp. It's awesome. Go buy a record from one of their bands if you want to hear it...
... i'm kidding. Once again, out of the kindness of my heart, i've assembled a youtube playlist. Not as cool as my actual home made CD, but still pretty generous if i'm being immodest.

So what are you going to get? Well, as you can see this is all really recent stuff, so it's a smorgasbord of post-. Post-punk, post-rock, post-emo, post-hardcore, post emotional exhaustion. We don't care about anything anymore. We can't. We're useless, and having fun is no fun at all. I love it, but i've also taken my fair share of anti-depressants (which you might have surmised from some of my "bad day" posts). You might find it a little whiny for your taste, but i find it comforting.
This comp is really great because i've been a fan of bands on this label for a while (Wonder Years and La Dispute), but never heard any of these before they literally just gave it to me. Obviously, some of them are going to go on to awesome things and some are going to fizzle out like dollar-store birthday candles, but either way i get to feel something about them. That's exciting.
I'm kind of bummed that my little week long project is over. I'm approaching the 200 essay mark, and i'm running out of steam. In a way that's a good thing, because i'm finally coming to terms with the death of my dad. If you're relatively new to my nightly album reviews, that's what it's been all about. In real life i'm a super duper not at all talkative person, but writing is actually pretty easy. I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but thanks for reading my personal journal for the last 7 months.
P.S. definitely go check out No Sleep's youtube channel. They put up their artists' full albums themselves.

P.P.S i've put all these things on my blog so if you want to revisit them, go right ahead, i mean you're already here so why not follow blogger's suggested links or whatever.
P.P.P.S. i'll probably come up with more jackassy things to say or record more music or something, i just don't have anything in mind yet. It's not goodbye, it's more what should i do next? Suggestions?
