Interlude

Part 2

Bottle wandered aimlessly. It may not look like it from the outside, but us omniscient narrators are, shall we say, in on it. Most people leave you alone if you look like you know exactly what you're doing. The down side, of course, is that they tend to also think you actually do know what you're doing, and that leads to all sorts of unrelated problems.

This particular meander through the endless corridor is particularly interesting, every once in a while while a door opens and a trembling bony hand extends holding a record for Bottle's inspection. He looks it up and down, flips it over, occassionally nibbles on a corner and wrinkles his nose a bit. Sometimes he hands them back with a slow shake of his head, sometimes he appears to somehow magically shove them in his pocket and waves goodbye. Occasionally a minion will run up to him and the scene repeats itself with a lot more bending and hand gestures and general conversating. Oh, he's turning back around and walking with actual purpose. Sandra might be right, work might happen to anyone foolish enough to cross paths with the Bottler, Keeper of Brain Thoughts, Devolver of Conundrums,
The Bearded Incredulator, he invented a lot of those titles, so don't take it too serious. Knowing we listened to Mr. Bungle this day last year is a tad ominous, but it's not like we get much say in the proceedings, so maybe have those helmets on standby...

B: shut it, Bridbrad! I'm trying to think down here.

BB: sorry, Bottle. I'll hand it back over to you then.

B: much obliged. On second thought, this really is more like a preamble. Seems wrong to elide it with the album review. Maybe do like a news at 11 thing so's i can do a proper story time, or something.

BB: sure thing.

See, i told you i wasn't worried, what the upstairs don't know about the downstairs is our own problem. It might take another day, but he's got the rubber mallet out so he'll be bopping us like little bunny foo foo in no time. Exciting. Until then then, i suspect this will be a special batch of something.
