The Kingston Trio - The Last Month of the Year
If i were going to be stuck in a department store elevator for 3 days with a christmas album playing non-stop, The Kingston Trio's The Last Month of the Year might be survivable.
In general, it's thankfully ignorable. However, i cannot adequately express how mentally unsettling it is to pick seemingly random verses from a counting song. My OCD is generally mild, but it's definitely uncomfortable to skip from 3 to 5 to 8 to 10, when they count back down through all of them. A couple repeats of that and i'd probably punch the first person i saw after being rescued (don't worry, i'd apologize as i was doing it).
I also hope that reminding me that Christmas is the 25th of December (that's the last month of the year if you missed the memo) isn't a common trait. Both albums so far have done it, and i can't decide if it's a PSA, or sarcasm, or if there's just so little to say that noone even tries to avoid it.
